11U House
Overview
The 11U division, previously known as "Mosquito," is designed for children aged 10 to 11 years. This is their first experience with pitching and using a real baseball. The league emphasizes player engagement, with all players included in the batting lineup and rotated through positions.

Session Structure
- Games: Typically twice a week, 2-hour sessions.
- Season Duration: Starts after the school year and ends with playoffs in early September.

Warm-up (15 Minutes)
Players should arrive 15 minutes early to stretch and warm up.
Practice (120 Minutes)
Structured sessions focus on developing core baseball skills: catching, throwing, batting, fielding, and situational gameplay.
Game (120 Minutes)
- Duration: 6 innings or 2 hours (whichever comes first).
- Innings 1-5: 3 outs or 3 runs (whichever comes first).
- Inning 6: Open inning or 3 outs.
- 10-Run Rule: If one team leads by 10 runs after the 5th inning, they win.
- New Innings: No new inning starts after 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Playing Field
- Base Distance: 60 feet.
- Pitching Distance: 44 feet.
Rules of Play
- Games follow official baseball rules, with some modifications.
- Defensive Players: Typically 9, but 10 allowed with mutual agreement.
- Player Rotation: Coaches must rotate players to ensure fair play.
- Safety: Catchers and pitchers must wear protective cups; all batters must wear helmets.
- Base Running: Runners may tag up; no lead-offs or base stealing allowed.
- Pitching: Each pitcher can pitch a maximum of 2 innings.
Special Rules
- No bunting or infield fly rule.
- Runners advance only one base on an overthrow.
- No 4-pitch walks; staff/umpire will pitch additional strikes if needed.
- Modified collision avoidance rule for home plate.
Coaches
- Team Composition: 2-3 coaches per team (1 Head Coach, up to 2 Assistants).
- Duties:
- Head Coach: Manages line-ups and substitutions.
- Assistant Coaches: Support the head coach and ensure player safety.
This structure aims to create a safe, fun, and educational environment for young players, fostering their love for the game.
