13U House
Summary
The 13U division, previously known as "Pee Wee," is for kids aged 12 and 13. This division introduces rules similar to those of the Major Leagues, with modifications for fair play. Key features include allowed lead-offs and base stealing, with pitchers using techniques to hold runners on base. All players will remain in the batting lineup and rotate equally in the field.

Session Structure
This season includes two time slots for practice or make-up games due to cancellations. Three weeks of house league team practices are scheduled on Saturdays throughout the summer.
Warm-up (15 Minutes)
Players should arrive at least 15 minutes before game time for stretching and warm-up.
Game (120 Minutes)
- Duration: 6 innings or 2 hours, whichever comes first.
- Innings 1-5: 3 outs or 3 runs, whichever comes first.
- Inning 6: Open inning or 3 outs, whichever comes first.
- If one team leads by 10 runs or more after the 5th inning, they are awarded the game. The game may continue at the coaches' discretion.
- No new inning will start after 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Playing Field
- Distance between bases: 70 feet
- Distance from home plate to pitching rubber: 48 feet
Rules of Play
- Games follow official baseball rules, with modifications outlined here.
- Coaches must rotate players in the defensive lineup for fair play.
- Score is kept by coaches and confirmed with the home plate umpire.
- Protective Gear: Catchers and pitchers must wear a protective cup. All batters must wear helmets on deck, at bat, or on the bases.
- Players should run on and off the field between innings.
- A tenth player may be added as an extra outfielder if there are enough players.
- Bunting, lead-offs, and stealing are permitted.
- The infield fly rule applies.
- Runners may tag and run after a fly ball is caught.
- On a missed third strike, the batter may run to 1st base if unoccupied and less than two outs; they can always run on the third strike with two outs.
- Players should slide on close plays at home.
- Pitchers may pitch a maximum of 3 innings per game.
Coaches
Each team will ideally have 2-3 coaches (1 Head Coach, 2 Assistants), depending on volunteer availability. Two Raiders staff will facilitate gameplay: a home plate umpire and a base umpire.
Head Coach Responsibilities
- Create batting and fielding line-ups and make substitutions each inning.
- Coach a base during hitting.
Assistant Coaches Responsibilities
- Coach a base during hitting.
- Ensure kid safety on the bench.
- Manage the batting order.
- Assist the head coach with instruction as needed.
